To no one's surprise, Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Patrick Beverley loves the little kid who tried to guard New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson in high school.

Basically everyone on NBA twitter was saying the kid reminded them of Beverley since he had a lot of heart and grit:

Patrick Beverley is basically the heart and soul of the Clippers. The Chicago native plays with a chip on his shoulder and wears his emotions on his sleeves every time he steps on the court for LA.

Before the NBA suspended play due to the coronavirus, Beverley and the Clippers were in second place in the Western Conference standings, trailing only the Los Angeles Lakers — a team they are 2-1 against.

Beverley has appeared in 48 games for the Clips in 2019-20. He's averaging 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 42.8 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 65.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Fans often times see Beverley match up against Lakers superstar LeBron James or Kevin Durant. The 2019 playoffs saw a lot of back and forth play between Beverley and Durant when the Clippers and Golden State Warriors played in the first round.
