The Los Angeles Clippers managed to pulled off a two-part shocker on Saturday night. Not only did they land the biggest fish in free agency in reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, they also acquired Paul George in a blockbuster deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With the addition of Leonard and George, the Clippers now become prohibitive favorites to win the Larry O.B. next season.

Needless to say, PG13 is pumped playing for his hometown.

When George hit unrestricted free agency last season, there were rumors that he would eventually head to the Los Angeles Lakers, similar to how these same rumors surrounded Kawhi Leonard's free agency.

In an ironic twist of fate, yes, both of them will now home to play in Los Angeles this upcoming season. However, they will not don the more storied Purple and Gold. Instead, they suit up for the other Los Angeles-based squad that, for so long, has been second-fiddle to the marquee Lakers franchise.

George reportedly demanded for a trade after growing frustrated with the Thunder's consecutive first round playoff exits over the past two seasons. Many speculated George would leave the Thunder after they bowed out of the 2018 first round playoffs.

However, he ultimately chose to come back to OKC in the summer of 2018 due to “unfinished business.” Now, it appears like his business in OKC is done  after they were bounced in the opening round once again in this year's postseason.

PG13 and The Klaw should become the anchors of a juggernaut defense in L.A. along with the pesky Patrick Beverly to form arguably one of the greatest perimeter defensive trios in the history of the league.
