The Los Angeles Clippers' five-game losing streak has prompted Paul George to speak up on behalf of his teammates.

Paul George said the Clippers must figure out how to break their recent five-game slide, per ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly.

The Clippers have been awful since the James Harden trade

The Clippers have now gone 0-4 since James Harden started playing for them on Nov. 6. NBA experts felt they had a legitimate shot at contending in the Western Conference with a nucleus of James Harden, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook. That hasn't been the case so far.

Los Angeles was 3-2 prior to the blockbuster trade for Harden. The Clippers are currently 12th in the Western Conference.

The Clippers lost their fourth straight game on Saturday. Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic continued his onslaught. He torched the Clippers for 44 points in the Mavs' 144-126 win.

Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said stopping Luka Doncic is impossible – the NBA's closest thing to “Pistol Pete” Maravich will score his points no matter how well the defense plays. Paul George and Co. found out the hard way this weekend.

To make things worse for Los Angeles, it lost to the Grizzlies 105-101 on Sunday. Memphis' 2-8 record is currently the NBA's second-worst. Only the Detroit Pistons' 2-9 record is worse.

The “James Harden curse” exploded on social media shortly after the disappointing loss.

Things don't get any easier for Paul George and Co. They will play Nikola Jokic and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

Los Angeles is a middle-of-the-pack team on both offense and defense. What seems to be the problem, then? Perhaps it's an issue of team chemistry. Harden is just four games into his tenure with the Clippers.

Hopefully, Paul George's wakeup call will change the Clippers' fortunes moving forward.
