On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers dropped to 0-4 since trading for James Harden with a brutal home loss at the hands of the previously one-win Memphis Grizzlies. The Clippers were largely dominated in this contest, and although Memphis let them back into the game late and gave them a chance to make things interesting, Harden and his teammates were ultimately unable to pull through, dropping the team's overall record to 3-6 on the young 2023-24 NBA season.

After the game, users on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, were quick to mock Harden and the Clippers for the disastrous results of their partnership so far.

Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are understandably happy to see their bitter rival Clippers struggling.

Meanwhile, some users speculated that there might be some sort of curse that follows James Harden around from franchise to franchise.

Although it was reasonable to expect some growing pains from Harden in his partnership with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, few could have imagined things going this far south this quickly into the relationship for the Clippers. Los Angeles has shown little sign of being able to integrate the ball-dominant Harden into whatever system they had in place prior to his arrival, and the team's defense hasn't been much better.

Of course, it's still early November and yes, the Clippers still will have plenty of time to figure this out and turn things around. However, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and that ship has long since sailed for Harden.
