The Los Angeles Clippers were 0.9 seconds away from tying the Western Conference Finals at one game apiece. But the Phoenix Suns had other ideas, as Deandre Ayton dunked home the game-winner that will forever haunt Clippers fans' nightmares.

Just one possession prior, Paul George botched a chance to increase LA's lead with a pair of missed free throws. But despite missing out on a golden opportunity to steal away home-court advantage, the Clippers star was unfazed by where his team currently stands.

Via ClutchPoints' Clippers reporter Tomer Azarly:

“With this team, we’re even more confident. If I know this team correctly, the fight we have, that’s who we’ve been, that’s who we are. We’re very confident in our group.”

Obviously, you wouldn't expect Paul George to show any vulnerability despite blowing their chance in Game 2. But after seeing the Clippers climb out of back-to-back 0-2 deficits, against two teams equally as capable as this Suns squad, PG's words feel like they're more than just lip service.

Kawhi Leonard's status remains up in the air as of now. But given the fact that the Los Angeles Clippers were right there in both Games 1 and 2 even without their best player, this series is far from over.
