Los Angeles Clippers rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander set a new franchise record on Sunday.

Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points for the Clippers in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the defending champions Golden State Warriors. The former Kentucky standout has now scored the most points for a Clippers rookie in a playoff game, beating the 23 points of John Shumate in 1976.

The 20-year-old rookie gave Clippers fans a lot to cheer for in Game 3, but his effort was not enough to lead Los Angeles to a victory. Golden State escaped with a 113-105 win on the road to move within a win to advance to the second round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

Kevin Durant torched the Clippers again, as he finished with 33 points on 12-for-21 shooting, and also posted seven rebounds and six assists. Klay Thompson also had a huge night, scoring 32 points, which is currently his highest production in the playoffs this season.

Steph Curry had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists and three steals. Andre Iguodala added 10 points off the bench, while Draymond Green racked up 10 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocks for the Warriors.

On the other hand, Danilo Gallinari had 16 points and seven rebounds for Los Angeles, while Patrick Beverley ended up with 12 points and 10 rebounds on top of five assists and three blocks. Lou Williams scored 12 points, while Montrezl Harrell chipped in 10 markers, both coming off the bench.

Game 5 of the series will be on Wednesday at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
