Steve Ballmer, the former Microsoft CEO, is one of the most brilliant business minds in the world. Ballmer was primarily in charge of one of the largest technology and software companies in the world, earning him billions of dollars in the process.

In 2014, Ballmer paid $2 billion for the Clippers after previous owner Donald Sterling was forced to sell the team. Since then, Ballmer has transformed into an engaged and fun-loving owner that has been involved in many of the Clippers' day-to-day operations. On Wednesday night, Ballmer showed his support for the Clippers by competing with Joey Chestnut in a hotdog eating contest. It turns out that the billionaire didn't come close to winning.

Ballmer has been tied to the Clippers for awhile, even though the franchise hasn't been that successful over the years. When asked about the highs and lows of watching his team play over the years, Ballmer gave a straightforward answer, per Broderick Turner of the LA Times.

You get pretty low when you lose your top players two playoffs in a row. And then to lose Blake [Griffin in the 2017 playoffs, after losing him andĀ Chris PaulĀ in 2016]. To lose the way we did to Houston [in the 2015 playoffs, blowing a 3-1 series lead] in my first year when I was looking at the team. We lost to Oklahoma City [in the 2014 playoffs]. That was about the time I was looking into buying the team. So, thereā€™s some real heartbreak in there for us. Some of which is of our own making and some of which it came upon us from the health from above.

Ballmer apparently wants to be a part of the Clippers organization and get them back on the winning track, even if it takes one hotdog at a time.
