Already playing without Milos Teodosic, the L.A. Clippers suffered another major blow to their point guard rotation as Austin Rivers suffered a dislocated finger during their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night.
With just 5.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter, the 25-year-old Duke product attacked the basket hard in hopes of scoring or drawing a foul. He immediately grimaced in pain and held on to his pinky, which was clearly seen not aligned anymore on the broadcast.

Rivers was helped out by his teammates to stand up, and as he was making his way to their bench, Clippers' head athletic trainer Jasen Powell approached him to pop his pinky back into place. Patrick Beverley helped out and diverted his attention from the finger while it was being done.

X-rays and and an MRI are expected to be done on Rivers' finger check on the exact extent of his injury. Should he be forced to miss some games due to it, the Clippers will be left with a very thin backcourt. Beverley and Lou Williams may see extended minutes on the floor, or could be alternated by Doc Rivers depending on matchups.
