The Los Angeles Clippers are waiving point guard Tyrone Wallace, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The move comes off the heels of the massive acquisition of All-Stars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. George, traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder, will join the Leonard, signing in free agency, in teaming up in LA to compete for the Clippers.

Wallace, 25, is a casualty of the Clippers' many moving parts, which include re-signing defensive stalwart in the backcourt Patrick Beverley, acquiring forward Maurice Harkless in the four-team Jimmy Butler sign-and-trade, and re-signing 22-year-old center Ivica Zubac to a four-year deal.

The 6-foot-5 guard Wallace appeared in 92 games for Los Angeles over the course of his two seasons with the Clippers, making 19 total starts. He was selected by the Utah Jazz with the final pick in the 2016 NBA Draft after a four-year collegiate career at the University of California, Berkeley. Wallace would sign a two-way contract with the Clippers in January 2017 and re-sign with the organization in September 2018 to a two-year deal.

Wallace's contract for 2019-20, however, is not guaranteed.

Wallace averaged 5.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in 16.1 minutes a contest while shooting 43.5% from the floor, 23.7% from three-point range, and 67.4% from the free throw line.

The Clippers are currently mired in a local arms race against the Los Angeles Lakers, who are signing Kawhi Leonard's former teammate Danny Green, big man DeMarcus Cousins, forward Jared Dudley, and re-signing guards Alex Caruso and Rajon Rondo. Staples Center should be the main attraction nearly every night in the NBA next season as either the Lakers or Clippers showcase premier talent in the league.
