College Hill: Celebrity Edition, season three has officially wrapped up, and we know who graduated and who the valedictorian is. While I've mentioned that this season's entertainment value and cast vibes don't quite match those of seasons one and two, I believe it still had its entertaining and touching moments, There were many great moments this season, but nothing topped what transpired with Saucy Santana in this episode.

Simply put, Saucy Santana messed around and found out.

Saucy Santana gets the consequences of his actions

Saucy Santana was not allowed to graduate after making a mockery of his experience and being a general nuisance in the house. For the final time this season, I say that Saucy Santna was pointless on this season. Was he loud and boisterous? Sure. Do people find that entertaining? I'm sure. But, I think what's more entertaining then the house hijinks is seeing how celebrities adjust to the academic and social rigor of college life.

Saucy not going to class was enough but we didn't even see him really participate with the cheerleading team unlike season two when New York, Kway and Parker performed at the Magic City Classic. If he wasn't being belligerent, he was sleeping or clubbing. It took away from a lot of what this season had to offer.

. Saucy never took this seriously. And there was no redemption arc for him. He didn't even go to the class he liked, which was the music class. It was clear that Saucy was never going to graduate. And he was fine with that clearly. But, I'm glad that Xavier University of Louisiana held their ground and didn't allow him to walk across that stage.

If celebrities are coming to one of the top HBCUs. Not doing anything and then may get the opportunity to walk across the stage. That's not how this works. But I must say that the fact that he wasn't kicked out of the program in itself is astonishing. I know it was only a four-week program but still, he didn't deserve to stay on this show. If this is supposed to be real college life, let's see it.

I would've like to have seen Saucy withdrawn from his classes for not showing up. Make him have to meet with his advisor and chart out a path to get on track. That's what would happen with non-celebrity traditional college students. They might not even get the opportunity to get back on track. They'd just be withdrawn after enough absences were put down.

Now I know that this is a TV show and this is supposed to be entertaining, but I will contend that saucy Santana's inclusion in this season solely because of how he acted about the college experience and not really trying and applying himself and his experience because he doesn't have to really ruin a what would have been a really good, really cool, I think really amusing season.

And I will lobby again to BET, Tracy Edmonds or whoever is involved with casting for College Hill: Celebrity Edition. Bring in celebrities who actually wants to be a part of this experience. Saucy Santana's age isn't the reason why this didn't work, per Claudia Jordan's comments in her confessional. Younger celebrities like India Love (25), DreamDoll (29), Parker McKenna Posey (27), Kway (31) were all around the same age or younger than Saucy Santana was this season (30). They all graduated and had a rather good experience on this show, save Kway and Paker having to deal with Joseline Hernandez. They all got their interdisciplinary studies certificate.

Don't put age on this. Saucy Santana decided to take this experience as a joke. He didn't see the value in it because he's already successful and he also had no deeper motivation to succeed. Claudia Jordan, Karlous Miller, and Nick Young wanted to make their families proud. Meanwhile, Tamar Braxton wanted to get the HBCU experience like the other members of her family, and Angela White saw this as a pivotal part of her personal growth journey.

There wasn't that same motivation for Saucy and that was the problem. He was treating College Hill as if it was Love and Hip Hop, and that was not the way to go. It was not entertaining. It was not amusing. It killed the vibe of the show, which was entertaining but severely lagging behind the first two seasons.

It's clear what the motivation should be: bring in celebrities into this show that can be entertaining and engaging but are willing to be fully involved in the college experience for the month that they're on the show. I think each and every fan of the series, even those that were fans of Saucy Santana and his antics this season, will appreciate that.

Angela White stood on business

After Angela had her moment where she was distraught that she didn't get all A's. I knew that she was going out to be valedictorian or salutatorian. And I'm very proud of her, and I'm glad that we got to see her growth journey throughout this four-week process of her being in the interdisciplinary studies program. She started the season, not even wanting to present in the converged media class. Then she gets invited to speak at church about her testimony and her experience to conclude their journey.

Saucy's distraction from several storylines this season prevented us from fully witnessing Angela's growth. However, it's clear that she became more open to the experience as the season went on. I truly believe that Angela will carry the lessons from this show with her for the rest of her life, as it seemed like she was really opening up.

She appeared genuinely happy to receive her certificate, which felt like a significant achievement, marking her successful transition from Blac Chyna to Angela White. I’m genuinely happy and proud of Angela, and I hope she continues to strive for excellence and accomplish amazing things in her career, along with her spiritual journey and personal growth.

Claudia Jordan is valedictorian as expected, Karlous gets mad respect

It was a no-brainer that Claudia Jordan was going to finish this season as valedictorian. She was on top of all of her work and rarely ever slacked. I think all of the celebrities minus Saucy Santana took the experience seriously but it just felt personal for her. She truly approached this from the right way and reaped the benefits in the end.

She emerged as a leader out of the gate in the house and shined when it came to topics that were adjacent to politics such as how to get Gen-Z students to vote and the voter registration competition towards the end of the season. Claudia was surely my favorite castmember and just might be my favorite cast member to ever be on College Hill: Celebrity Edition.

IIt was evident that Claudia would excel in this situation. Throughout her impressive career, she has consistently held her own among a room full of comedians, enjoying a successful two-decade run in media from radio to television, and now digital platforms. To thrive across these various arenas requires not only skill and intelligence but also a keen political awareness—qualities that Claudia Jordan showcases on a daily.

So I knew that eventually she would pull it together in Dr. Frazier's class. And I knew that all of the other classes that she was going to be on top of it, because that's just who Claudia is from what we've seen. Now she should not have stolen Saucy Santana's doll, and she was doing the most in the philosophy class during that debate. But, she was a star on this show and is a template for other celebrities that appear on this series to follow.

The Final Verdict

Overall, this season was pretty cool. Aside from Saucy Santana and his antics, which detracted from the show, it delivered a solid eight episodes. When I reflect on this franchise, Karlos Miller, Angela White, and Claudia Jordan stand out as one of my favorite cast members.

It was certainly an entertaining journey. Karlos and Nick Young gave us some laoughs and it was great to see. Angela White's growth journe on display. And also seeing Claudia Jordan succeed and what her success on this show truly meant to her.

I'm interested to see what College Hill: Celebrity Edition Season 4 looks like and who will be apart of the cast. But one thing is for sure: I hope Saucy Santana is not in the cast. Don't let him pull a Ray J BET! He made his bed, now he has to lie in it as he did most of this season.
