This Dallas Cowboys season was expected to be different from a lot of people. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is no exception. However, after a disappointing upset loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Jones kept a relatively calm demeanor than most expected. On Friday, the frustration finally boiled over.

Jones voiced his strong opinions on his radio show on 105.3 The Fan Friday.

“I can’t get over what we did in the playoffs. We deserved better than it ending up this way.” When asked about a potential coaching change, Jones appeared to mince words. “I won’t get in to any conversations that I’ve had with anybody relative to anything to do with staff… I've looked around, I see a lot of names, a lot of great names. Some great names from college. I see them coming through. I've seen some great names from various duties in the NFL… the bottom line is yes, I am very, very upset… we have used up some very talented players over the last few years.”

The Cowboys owner appeared to recognize the depth of potential great head coaching candidates this offseason. It's only conjecture, but his college football reference might be to Jim Harbaugh reportedly being interesting in coming back to the NFL.

There are numerous other standout candidates that are currently assistant coaches around the league. Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is among them. Both the offensive and defensive coordinators for the Buffalo Bills, Brian Daboll and Leslie Frazier, are both highly sought after.

Former Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl winning head coach Doug Pederson is also out there.

It's not known if Jones will make a change at head coach. After the game, it sounded as though Mike McCarthy's job was safe. That is much less certain today.
