There has been plenty of speculation regarding the limitations of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. However, there is no questioning his durability.

Prescott managed to make franchise history with his 42 completions against the Philadelphia Eagles a couple of weeks ago. According to NFL Network's Bobby Belt, he has the chance to do it again by starting the final three games of the 2018 NFL season:

If Dak Prescott starts the final three games of the season for the Cowboys he'll be the first quarterback in franchise history to start every game in three consecutive seasons.

Although the jury may still be out on Prescott's status as a future franchise quarterback, there is no denying that he has come a long way from being an overlooked prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Cowboys selected him in the fourth round with the hope that he would develop into a potential successor to quarterback Tony Romo, however, he has quickly named the starter in place of an injured Romo and the rest is history.

Prescott's career got off to an excellent start after leading Dallas to a 13-3 record en route to Pro Bowl and Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Unfortunately, he has since struggled to mirror the type of production he enjoyed during his rookie campaign.

The criticisms of Prescott's underwhelming production over the last two seasons has been fair. However, his toughness and durability should also be taken into consideration when deciding on whether or not to keep him long term. After all, the best ability is availability.
