The Dallas Cowboys may not have agreed to contract extensions with any of Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, or Amari Cooper just yet, but that does not mean they are not making an effort.

According to Jane Slater of NFL Network, the Cowboys have “generous” offers on the table for all three players, offers that would put each of them in the top-five highest paid lists at their respective positions.

Of course, while Prescott and Cooper don't seem overly concerned with their current situations, Elliott is holding out and has yet to arrive at training camp. As a matter of fact, he is not even in the country, as he headed to Cabo last week.

Dallas is in the unenviable position of having to extend numerous key players. The Cowboys have already given defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence a new deal, and in addition to Prescott, Elliott, and Cooper being up for new contracts, cornerback Byron Jones and offensive lineman La'el Collins are set to hit free agency next offseason, and linebacker Jaylon Smith will also be up for a new deal soon.

So, obviously, Dallas needs to be careful with how it wades this predicament, as it not only needs to properly allocate money to its top players, but also needs to save some money for the future.

The Cowboys are coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round the following week.
