The Dallas Cowboys hammered the New York Giants in their Week 1 matchup this past Sunday, beating them by a score of 35-17 at AT&T Stadium.

Dak Prescott picked apart the Giants' secondary on his way to throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.1 percent of his passes as the Cowboys quickly climbed out of a 7-0 hole to thump New York the rest of the way.

On Wednesday, Giants safety Jabrill Peppers said that the Cowboys were talking a lot of trash, and he isn't blaming them.

“Man, they were kicking our a–,” Peppers said, according to Ryan Dunleavy of NJ Advance Media. “That bothered me more than anything they could ever say to me. You know what I mean? If we were kicking their a–, we’d be talking (expletive) too. That just comes with the territory.”

But Peppers wasn't ready to concede that Dallas played extraordinarily well.

“I don’t think they did anything spectacular to beat us,” Peppers said. “You know what I mean? I think we gave up a lot of big plays because of blown coverages. Aside from the fade ball (touchdown), and a couple dig routes, everything else I feel like we gave them. But when things are clicking for you, you can say whatever you want to say.”

It also didn't help that New York was not able to generate any sort of pass rush, as the Giants did not log a single sack in the loss.

Big Blue will now head on home to play host to the Buffalo Bills in what Peppers and Co. hope is a better defensive effort in Week 2 this Sunday.
