Jerry Jones was crucial in the process that led the Los Angeles Rams building a new stadium in Los Angeles and he wants to be rewarded for it. Ahead of the 2020 season, Jones hopes that the Dallas Cowboys are the first team to face the Rams in SoFi Stadium.

Since moving to Los Angeles, the Rams have played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. However, the Rams are set to begin playing their home games at SoFi Stadium in 2020.

Without a doubt, Jones is one of the most influential owners in the NFL. When the NFL has to make a decisive decision, Jones' voice means more than other owners in the league.

Prior to the Rams' decision to move to Los Angeles, Jones was one of the owners that made the idea come into fruition. As a matter of fact, there's a lawsuit that alleges that Jones conspired with Stan Kroenke; the owner of the Rams.

Above all, Jones' one of his companies named “Legends” actually negotiated the naming rights for SoFi Stadium. Given that, Jones believes it would make perfect sense for the Cowboys to be the team to help debut the new venue.

While some may be against the notion, the NFL should consider Jones' comments. Despite not knowing the exact schedule yet, each team in the NFL already knows what teams they will face at home.

Seeing that the Rams are slated to host the Cowboys next season, why not make it happen in their first home game? With the amount of power that Jones has within the league, it wouldn't come as a surprise if he is granted his wish by the NFL.
