It has been the same story for the Dallas Cowboys ever since they started claiming it was their year. Dak Prescott's squad gets off to a hot start then they crumble in the NFL Playoffs. This season was no different. A Wild Card exit because of a schematically sound Green Bay Packers team led by Jordan Love struck them. Changes were demanded by fans. Jerry Jones may have his own plan because he is keeping Mike McCarthy.

Cowboys fans were livid after that loss to the Packers. Some thought that it was unacceptable that Dak Prescott got beat in the NFL Playoffs again. Others thought that Mike McCarthy needed to go after being outclassed by Matt LaFleur. Neither of those wishes have come true. This all prompted the Cowboys faithful to react to the news.

“Not serious about winning a SB. All talk,” and “LETS ALL LAUGH AT DALLAS,” were some of the more common sentiments.

The Cowboys did still finish with a 12-win record but this is not what fans want. They could not go deeper into the playoffs nor get close to winning the Super Bowl since Troy Aikman. However, some fans posit that McCarthy may not be the glaring red flag in the organization.

“For all of his flaws and imperfections, Mike McCarthy isn’t the biggest problem with the Cowboys. The problem always has been Jerry Jones,” a fan declared. Other fans also echoed the same idea, “Never thought I’d see the day Jerry Jones is satisfied with good not great.”

Hopes can still be high for the Cowboys organization. Declarations of it being their year will never stop after a winning streak. But, one thing is certain, they seem disgruntled at the moment.
