It has been 20 years since Randy Moss was taken with the 21st overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings but that doesn't mean the Hall of Famer has gotten over the fact he was passed on by the Dallas Cowboys who had the 8th pick and instead took linebacker Greg Ellis.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Moss believed he was going to get drafted by the Cowboys. During Moss's pre-draft visit with the Cowboys he along with the group of players there were told there was a good chance that the Dallas would draft him. He also hung out one on one at Deion Sanders house, which made him believe even more that he would be wearing a Star on his helmet.

There has been a lot of talk over the years about the Cowboys passing on him, but Stephon Jones, son of Jerry Jones, has a simple answer about them passing on Moss.

“I don’t know that we were the only ones who passed on him,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said. “According to Randy, we were.”

That is true 19 other teams did pass on Moss, but he was hurt by the fact that Dallas passed on him, and during his NFL career he made them pay for it.

The first time they ever matched up was on Thanksgiving of Moss's rookie year. He only had three catches during the game, but all of them ended in touchdowns gaining 163 total yards.

He ended his career against Dallas hauling in 35 passes for 662 yards and 10 touchdowns.
