It's a little over a week before the Hall of Fame class of 2018 gets inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, and one notable member won't be present. The former Dallas Cowboys wideout Terrell Owens has decided to skip Hall of Fame weekend and instead will give his speech at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

He has received a lot of backlash from people all across the league including Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who says he is making a mistake. Owens is having none of it and clapped back at Jones on Twitter.

Owens hasn't cared what anyone has said, so it's not a surprise that he has had no issue clapping back at Jones. The longtime owner said that he enjoyed his time getting inducted into the Hall of Fame and that Ownes should reconsider.

“I had one of the great experiences that ever happened to me last year,” Jones said. “[Owens] did not ask my advice. Had he asked my advice or had I been compelled to, I would have shared with him that this is a mistake. You — for your own reasons, but more importantly because of the fans – should participate. I didn't give him that advice and consequentially you see where he's going, but he is making a mistake. But that's his decision. Terrell, as you know, has a mind of his own.”

Many believed that Owens should have been a first ballot Hall of Famer, but some of antics are what held him back from getting in on the first vote.
