The 2022 NFL Offseason has been a rollercoaster ride for the Dallas Cowboys, and owner Jerry Jones is in the front seat. Aside from business involving the team, Jones has dealt with multiple different legal issues since the 2021-2022 season ended.

Most recently, a young woman claimed that he is her biological father. Alexandra Davis, 25, filed a $20 million paternity lawsuit against Jones. The legal action came even after he paid her and her mother Cynthia up to $3 million in child support. Despite giving the Davis family so much money, he continues to deny any relation to Alexandra.

Since the lawsuit was filed, things have taken an extreme turn in the latest Cowboys owners' legal case. On Wednesday, Ms. Davis dropped the lawsuit against her alleged father, according to Daily Mail.

The news outlet reports that Davis filed court papers stating that she wants genetic testing done to prove that Jones is her father.

Davis doesn't seem to have any doubt that she is Jones' daughter.

“Alexandra has just decided that she wants to go ahead and proceed with parentage and DNA testing…to remove any doubts that Jerry's her father,” Davis's lawyer Jay Gray said, quote courtesy of The Dallas Morning News.

While the lawsuit against Jones has been dropped, it was dismissed without prejudice. This means that Davis can refile the claim at any point in the future.
