One young Dallas Cowboys fan had a great day in spite of his favorite team's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. While walking to the tunnel, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot spotted a boy with a sign saying it was his first Cowboys game. Elliot took off his cleats, signed them and gave them to the young fan.

Hopefully this gesture makes up for the egg that Dallas laid in Indianapolis toady, the Colts shut the Cowboys out 23-0 and evened the two teams records at 8-6 each. Elliot rushed for 87 yards on 18 carries and caught 7 passes for 41 yards, but it wasn't enough to get Dallas on the board.

The loss all but eliminated Dallas in the chase for the third seed in the NFC playoff bracket. It also marked the end of a five game winning streak during which the Cowboys clawed their way into the playoff picture.

Elliot was clearly disappointed in the effort his team put forward in the loss, “We can't go out there and do that. We cannot. That is not us, at all,” he said after the game. “It's embarrassing. We've got to be better than that, way better.”

Dallas was without their Pro Bowl guard Zack Martin for the first time since he was drafted in 2014. Martin is one of the top linemen in the league and was instrumental in protecting quarterback Dak Prescott and opening running lanes for Elliot.

Zeke has 1,349 rushing yards on the season, he'll need 282 yards combined in his final two games to match his career high in rushing yards, 1631. However, Elliot has already eclipsed his career high in receiving yards, he has 543.
