The Dallas Cowboys notably started the 2019-20 regular season at a perfect 3-0, but have faltered in a big way as of late. Now an even 3-3 on the year after losing to the previously winless New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, the Cowboys managed just two touchdowns as a result of the team's latest defeat, with the first of these scores coming courtesy of Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott.

One of the few bright spots for Dallas in Week 6, Elliott scored relatively late in the fourth quarter to bring the Cowboys within one score of the Jets, who dominated for the majority of the first three quarters.

After the Elliott touchdown, the Cowboys only trailed 24-16 while the once heralded NFC East franchise tallied just three field goals against a stout Jets defense before ā€œZekeā€ was able to punch it in with around six minutes left in regulation.

Although Elliott and the Cowboys mounted a serious comeback attempt following a sluggish start against the Jets, ā€œGang Greenā€ ā€” and namely the New York defense ā€” was simply too much to handle in the end as Dallas came up short by the score of 24-22.

In addition to losing to the previously 0-4 Jets on Sunday afternoon in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Cowboys were coming off back-to-back losses to the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, respectively.

However, it is also worth noting that the Cowboys remain in pretty good shape in the divisional standings despite the team's latest loss.

The NFC East is arguably the weakest in the entire NFL with the rival Philadelphia Eagles, who are now an even 3-3 as well, serving as the only real threat to the Cowboys.
