David Ross and Javy Baez of the Chicago Cubs lashed out at Cincinnati Reds pitcher Amir Garrett for taunting and jawing at the Cubs' bench after he struck out Anthony Rizzo.

Ross particularly called Garrett's celebration “garbage” and expressed his belief there's no place in the sport for those kinds of antics.

Via Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago:

“That's not celebrating,” Cubs manager David Ross said. “I don't fault any of our guys. That's not the way that I think baseball is intended to go. But I think that's (Garrett's) style. I don't agree with it. I think it's garbage. But he's not on my team.”

In case you missed it, this is what happened during the Cubs vs. Reds game on Saturday. Fired up over his strike out, Garrett talked a lot of trash towards Rizzo and the Chicago bench. The Cubs clearly took offense with Garrett's actions.

Baez, in particular, had a heated barking match with Garrett. With the two jawing at each other, both teams cleared their respective benches and rushed out to the field as a red and blue scene hit the field.

This could have definitely gone ugly real fast. Fortunately, the scene didn't turn into a mess and no massive physical altercation took place between the two squads as players from the Cubs and Reds were able to do their jobs to let the heads of Amir Garrett and Javy Baez cool down.

Garrett and Baez have had a similar altercation three years ago and a familiar scene happened during that time. With that, it's safe to say that those two don't like each other.
