Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will still be coming, but not this year. The Cyberpunk 2077 expansion is instead expected to arrive in 2023.

Announced on Twitter, CD Projekt Red revealed during one of their financial calls that the first Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will be arriving in 2023. CDPR reassured investors that they are still working on this, while also doing further support for the game.

The announcement came alongside updates on other CDPR projects, such as the new Witcher game under the Unreal Engine 5, the development of the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and development work at The Molasses Flood. Their announcement also confirmed the upcoming launch of a spin-off to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and further support for The Witcher: Monster Slayer. Finally, the announcement also revealed that CDPR is working on some currently unannounced projects.

Cyberpunk 2077 infamously launched to poor reception in December 2020. Since then, CDPR focused its efforts on fixing the game's technical issues. So far, CDPR has only managed to release two DLCs: The 1.3 Patch that included Johnny Silverhand's Alternate Appearance, as well as the 1.5 Patch that added Apartments and activities that can be done in those apartments.

In other CDPR news, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X has just been indefinitely delayed as work on the upgrade has been shifted from an outsourced studio to an in-house, internal development team.
