The NFC East, commonly referred to as the NFC Least, has once again proved to have an overall mediocre set of teams. However, the Dallas Cowboys are the sole outlier in the equation. They sit at the top of the NFC East with a 9-4 record, followed by Washington and the Eagles tied at 6-7, and the Giants at 4-9. Despite their rule over the division, the Cowboys' Week 15 game against the Giants is their most important game yet. Let's break down some of my boldest predictions for the matchup.

Dallas Cowboys Week 15 Predictions

4. Ezekiel Elliot pops off

Not an extremely bold prediction, but hear me out. Elliott has been dealing with a knee injury for a large portion of the season. While it hasn't limited him too much, the running back has had to keep it in mind.

For more insight on the Cowboys' Week 15 matchup against the Giants, listen below:

This weekend, Elliott will be at almost full health. He told the media that his recovery is moving along smoothly, and he expects to be 100% healed very soon. If the Cowboys use him the way they did prior to his injury, the star running back could reach 100 rushing yards on Sunday. Along with more touches, I expect at least one touchdown from Elliott.

3. Dak climbs out of his quarterback slump

It's not secret that the Cowboys' quarterback has been on the hot seat for his poor performances recently. There are multiple reasons why Dak Prescott will feel the need to go off on Sunday.

First off, he is getting criticized on local sports news outlets. This isn't just criticism from the journalists, but from the Cowboys' front office. Head coach Mike McCarthy denied the slump earlier this week, but Jerry Jones says otherwise. The general manager and owner told a local Dallas radio station on Tuesday that it is “probably fair” to say Prescott is in a slump.

Second, last week was embarrassing. Although the Boys pulled out the divisional win against Washington in Week 14, it wasn't pretty. Prescott threw a grand total of zero touchdowns in the entire second half, and had two interceptions in the win. I can't think of a better game for Prescott to regain his respect in Dallas than this coming Sunday.

2. They hold NY to two scores

A large reason for the Cowboys' success this year is their aggressive defense. Let's not forget about rookie linebacker Micah Parsons, who is having an outstanding first year in the league. Parsons alone has recorded 75 tackles and 17 tackles for loss. With this in mind, there is no way the Giants score more than ten points on Sunday. The Cowboys' defense won't let it happen.

1. A decent blow out win for the Cowboys

The Giants' record speaks for itself — they aren't having a good season. They put up an average of 17.8 points each game, allowing 23.8. This, along with the Cowboys' dominating presence in the NFC East, makes me believe that this game won't be a close one. As mentioned in prediction #2, the Giants won't be putting up more than ten points.

With this, expect Dallas to score at least three touchdowns. Prescott has a lot to prove if he wants to lead his team in a decent playoff run, so he'll be hungry for points (especially in the second half, see prediction #3). My boldest prediction yet: Cowboys win 31-10.
