Darren Till is currently out in Sweden training with Khamzat Chimaev. The UFC middleweight has been getting many positive messages from people seeing them train together and becoming friends.

One of Darren Till's first interactions with Khamzat Chimaev was quite a funny one. The UFC contender spoke about it with ESPN and explained why he was called ‘fat boy.'

“The first day when I was training here, like when we went through that and then we were doing this tough strength and conditioning and I wore the wrong top, I had a stretch top and he was like, ‘Come on, fat boy,’ I was like, ‘Ah, this is gonna be a long few months,’ [laughs].”

The reaction Darren Till has received from training with UFC welterweight Khamzat Chiameav has been huge. The Englishman was blown away by all the reactions to the two working together in Sweden.

“He’s a good guy, he’s a good guy. He trains hard, and listen he genuinely wants to help me as well. He sees I’m a little bit out of shape and he’s giving me that little kick up the ass. Like, ‘Come on brother, let’s go.’ I couldn’t believe the first day when I got here. The next day when I woke up, every single media, even people who aren’t even involved in the sport were like, ‘Khamzat-Till, Khamzat-Till.’ It was so humbling to be around it.”

Darren Till currently does not have a UFC fight booked but he is expected to return this year. Khamzat Chimaev is rumored to be taking on Gilbert Burns at UFC 273 in April.
