Following his poor performance in Game 6 of their second round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs, James Harden has received a lot of criticisms for failing to step up for his team when they needed him the most.

The Twitterverse had a field day as they did not hold back in letting their thoughts known after seeing the All-Star guard struggle throughout the match. Despite having one of the worst performances of his career though, the team's general manager, Daryl Morey, came to his defense and reminded everyone how good he's been for the Rockets this year. He gave Harden a lot of credit for leading them to the conference semifinals and even went as far as saying he thinks it's a joke that people are quick to get on him after just one forgettable game.

“Obviously he had a tough game, but, to me, it's a joke to get on him.”

Harden finished the game with only 10 points, on 2-of-11 shooting, three rebounds, and seven assists. He appeared to be out of sync throughout the match as he committed six turnovers.

Now with the season over for the Rockets, Morey and company will have to decide if they want to add more talent, or stick with their current group of players who have gained valuable experience playing together this season. Whatever may be the case, one thing that's certain is they'll continue to roll with Harden, as Morey has the utmost belief in him.
