DeMarcus Cousins isn't wasting any time preparing for his much-awaited comeback to the NBA.

With free agency opening up, the 30-year old is back in the lab to show the entire league that he's far from done. Cousins posted his recent workout video on Twitter with the caption: “Patience is bitter, but it's fruit is sweet.”

The video, featuring different highlights from Cousins' career as well as his recent workout regimen, is also backed by Cousins himself discussing his interesting journey in the NBA, which according to the clip, is far from over.

As a 10-year vet, Cousins has been quite on quite the journey in the league. His decade-long career in the NBA has been marred with injuries and controversies that have caused the 6'11” big man to move from city to city. His latest destination in the NBA was in LA where he signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2019-2020 NBA season. Unfortunately for Boogie, he wasn't even able to suit up for the Purple & Gold this year due to another injury.

After winning it all against the Miami Heat in the recently concluded NBA Finals in the Orlando Bubble, it's been reported that Boogie is actually eligible for a championship ring. Though he was waived earlier in February, Cousins remained in the roster after the trade deadline while he was still rehabilitating his recent ACL injury he suffered prior to the opening of the season. Though it's still uncertain if DeMarcus Cousins will receive a 2020 Championship ring, it seems as the four-time All-Star isn't focusing on that.

‘Ring chasing' is a thing in the NBA. Veterans have been known to switch from team to team in search of a coveted NBA title and once they've achieved that specific goal, some of them are more than happy to hand up their jerseys and call it a career. Clearly in Boogie's case, this isn't what he's going for.
