NBA legend Dennis Rodman is arguably the most controversial, polarizing basketball player of all-time. Although he was mostly known for his colorful personality, Rodman was all business when it came time to play.

The five-time champ was already well-regarded as perhaps the best rebounder of his generation. However, according to a statistic assembled by xxStayFly81xx on NBA Reddit, Rodman may just be the greatest rebounder in NBA history.

Rodman with 159 and the next two, Dwight (77) and Charles Barkley (55) combine for 132. If you extend that to 25+ rebound games, Rodman has 33. No other player has over 7. In fact, if you add up #2, #3, #4, #5 and #6, they still have less total 25+ rebound games than Rodman. Rodman also got all 33 of those in a 7 year stretch. By far, the greatest rebounder in NBA history.

The numbers are even more amazing when one considers how much smaller Dennis Rodman was than the aforementioned players. Despite his stature, the seven-time rebounding champ used every tool at his disposal to gain the upper hand on his larger opponents.

Aside from his prowess on the glass, the former NBA champion with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls was also a tenacious defender, being a seven-time member of the All-Defensive First Team. While the numbers present a strong case for him as the greatest rebounder of all-time, legendary glass-cleaners like Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell would beg to differ.
