The Dallas Mavericks are without starting point guard Deron Williams tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a calf injury, head coach Rick Carlisle told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Backup point guard J.J. Barea will carry a heavy load for the Mavs, starting in place of Williams and playing minutes in the high 30s due to Devin Harris‘ toe injury, which will take a couple weeks to heal.

The Mavericks will also be without forward Dirk Nowitzki, which takes yet another scorer out of the lineup.

Williams is averaging 15.0 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.2 rebounds on 41.5 percent shooting from the floor and 41.4 percent from three-point range.
