Devin Clark brought up the age-old question the MMA world seems to love. “So you wanna be a fighter?”

Clark took on Ion Cutelaba at UFC Vegas 37 in a contest that questioned his toughness from start to finish. He answered that question and left no doubt on his toughness.

It wasn't seen on the broadcast but pictures of Devin Clark's mouth made the rounds on social media and it's fair to say his teeth are in rough shape. UFC photographer Jeff Bottari took the famous picture of Clark after the fight and that's how it was seen that Clark was going to be making an appointment with a dentist.

It has been hypothesized that knees towards the end of the second round are what caused the damage. Clark asked his corner if the fight should continue and they elected to keep the contest going.

Devin Clark shared an update on his Instagram story after the fight, revealing the extent of the damage and what was next for him. His recovery is going to be a long one.

For more information on what exactly happened to Devin Clark's mouth, you can watch YouTuber Dr. David Abbasi's latest video explaining exactly what the extent of the damage is and going more into detail on the subject.

Dr. Abbasi noted that Clark was lucky (depending on who you ask) that the fight wasn't stopped in between rounds. Most doctors would have stepped in and called it.

It is unclear what Devin Clark's path to return looks like. One thing's for sure though, he'll need to go through a dentist.
