Elimination games can get quite heated and it shaped up to be that way between the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks. Game 6 of the NLCS was a tough challenge for Torey Lovullo and his squad as they faced a determined team led by Bryce Harper. They needed every ounce of firepower they could get but that was just not the case. Merrill Kelly was pulled from the game and was understandably livid about the situation, via Talkin Baseball.

Merrill Kelly was seen blasting Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo after being subbed out for Ryan Thompson. One member of the staff tried to get a high-five from the fearless pitcher but he was not having it.

The Diamondbacks pitcher just needed a little bit more trust from his manager. Kelly was carrying Arizona despite the tough Phillies lineup composed of Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber. He sent a dent and a message to the Phillies by shutting them down. Kelly notched a flyout and two strikeouts to extend the NLCS to a seventh game.

He still had a lot of fight left in him but Lovullo pulled him out, much to the pitcher's dismay. The manager even tried to applaud his ace but Lovullo got a cold response. Thankfully, the Diamondbacks ended up taking the victory with a five-to-one scoreline. A lot of vitriol would have been after Lovullo had they not won because of the decision.

Will they be able to pull off the clutch Game 7 victory or is this their last win for the season?
