Hackers are always ready to pounce on an unsuspecting victim to try to solicit money or steal someone's identity. Just recently, NBA Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo was not spared by these opportunists and got his email hacked.

The former four-time Defensive Player of the Year took to Instagram to announce the unfortunate incident he's going through and also warned his followers not to respond to any emails from him due to his account being compromised.

If you get the email from me which said that I have been robbed in Philippine. Do not answer its. It is not me.

Mutombo also posted a video with the caption ” No No No. They can not win in the House of Mutombo” letting everyone know that he is safe unlike what the fraudulent emails claimed.

No No No. They can not win in the House of Mutombo.

In the video he posted, it shows that he is in the U.S. and and not in the Philippines where he was supposedly “robbed.”

With the power of social media these days, it helps spread news faster and Mutombo is hoping his post and video will be made known to as much people as possible to avoid anyone getting victimized by these hackers.
