It’s been a little over a month since the teams at Arc System Works, Neople, and 8ing have released new details on their upcoming 2.5D fighting game, DNF Duel. As fighting game fans have been eagerly anticipating new information leading up to its June 28th release, a new listing for the PC version has finally appeared on Valve Corporation’s Steam platform. It has been known for quite some time that a PC version of DNF Duel would be released on Steam, but for many months, no details for the PC version were readily made available.
As a brief summary noted on the Steam Store page, details for the game have been listed including all the features of the gameplay, available game modes, settings, and PC system requirements. While the online play will have all the functions and modes that fighting game fans expect, offline play will offer a complete story mode campaign, as well as arcade mode, survival, local battle, and practice modes. The game will also feature three voice-over options, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. Surprisingly, the game will not feature any English voice-overs which is a slight disappointment considering that Guilty Gear Strive and past BlazBlue titles (except Centrafiction) have been praised for having quality English voice-overs.
Along with the new Steam listing, Arc System Works has also released a new trailer showcasing elements of DNF Duel’s Story Mode campaign, as players will be able to experience various scenarios and stories featuring all of the playable characters in the game. While there is currently no confirmation of any special or unlockable characters that can be obtained through gameplay, it is expected that there will downloadable content shortly after the game’s initial release.
DNF Duel will release on June 28th, 2021 for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and PC via Steam.
