Fans of the Miami Dolphins have relished in getting their first look at quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in his new uniforms for the 2020 NFL season. Although Madden 21 is not scheduled to be released for another month, EA Sports has also generated buzz with their leaks regarding notable members of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tagovailoa was also featured as one of four rookies to have their headshots revealed for the video game, via Twitter:

It is safe to say that the graphics managed to capture Tagovailoa's likeness rather well. Although Tagovailoa may have earned a modest 73 overall rating in the video game, there are clearly still elements for fans to be excited for.

Madden opted to replicate Tagovailoa's versatile skill set under center by giving him an 84 play-action rating and 80 break a sack rating. Aside from his mobility, his arm also garnered solid ratings with 88 throw power, 86 short accuracy, and 84 deep accuracy. His status as a dual-threat quarterback already make him one of the more enjoyable players to use.

Perhaps the most intriguing of Tagovailoa's numbers was the 84 rating he earned in the injury category. It is no secret that his track record has remained a topic of conversation throughout the course of the offseason, and the restrictions placed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have prevented him from proving that he is 100 percent healthy.

The question now remains whether or not Tagovailoa can beat out Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starter under center to begin the 2020 campaign. Winning the job will certainly help pay huge dividends in his efforts to boost his rating by the time the adjustments are made in Week 6.
