The NBA season is right around the corner, and that means Toronto Raptors ambassador Drake‘s presence is back on the NBA scene too.
Drake, who recently completed a string of concerts ending at The Forum in Los Angeles, decided to sport a Los Angeles Lakers throwback jersey at the show. It wasn't of any Laker greats that may come to mind, though.
Instead he wore a white Derek Fisher jersey. Fisher is loved in Los Angeles for his contributions to the championship teams throughout the early 2000s and was a great role player in his day, but if Drake wanted to wear an old Lakers uniform there are so many other options (Magic, Jerry West, and Kareem all come to mind immediately).
After the concert, Drake posted shots of himself in Fisher's jersey while on stage.
One of the photos had a caption that made a subtle jab at current Sacramento Kings and former Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes.
Barnes and Fisher have had extended drama over the last year regarding Fisher dating Barnes' ex-wife, Gloria Govan.
At least now we know which side Drake is on.
