Jon Scheyer has gotten his first taste of leading the Duke basketball program. Despite a disappointing season from the Blue Devils, the team has fully reloaded with a cast full of talent. They are getting a core that is led by Jared McCain, TJ Power, Caleb Foster, and Kyle Filipowski. A lot of expectations are now in play for the ACC-based team but one of the rookies may have just set the most lofty expectation, an NCAA March Madness Final Four berth.
The Duke basketball program last experienced a Final Four appearance in Mike Krzyzewksi's last season in 2022. But, they have not been back since Jon Scheyer assumed the head coaching post. They might be on their way back once the season starts but there are huge bumps along the way.
However, Caleb Foster does not seem bothered about their ACC campaign or punching a ticket to March Madness. He unveiled how he expects something more lofty once March starts, via Kevin Connelly of Fansided.
“I feel like we all know what we want. The end goal this year will be in Phoenix. And, that’s where we will be at,” he declared. The Duke basketball rookie also added what it would take for them to get there, “We know the sacrifices we have to make to end up there and we are willing to take.”
The Blue Devils will hope to start their season well against UNC Pembroke, Dartmouth, and Arizona. Will they be able to pull through and head to their desired goal?
