Sometimes you can almost see the story unfolding. A team gets into foul trouble, the players lose focus, and they lose the game. Postgame press conferences with moments of frustration sometimes bring out comments about inconsistent officiating – which, if you didn’t know, is against NBA policy and almost always is accompanied by a fine.

The Toronto Raptors won Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Raptors coach Dwane Casey had plenty of comments regarding the quality of the officiating.

This came because the Raptors never received any free throws throughout the entire 4th quarter of Game 3, and Casey disagreed that his players were never fouled.

Even in a win, Casey’s comments earned him a hefty $25,000 fine for publicly criticizing the officials.
