Dying Light 2: Stay Human will allegedly take 500 hours to 100% complete.

Dying Light developers Techland tweeted on Saturday how long it'll take to 100% complete Dying Light 2: Stay Human. According to the devs, the game will take over 500 hours to complete 100%, which is almost the amount of time it takes for a person to walk from Warsaw, Poland, to Madrid, Spain.

However, instead of getting more hyped about the game, fans raised concerns on how fluff and padding may have been added to arrive at this figure. Many became worried as to how the main campaign might end up feeling bloated because of padded content. This led to Techland issuing another tweet to clarify.

“We wanted to clarify our recent communication about the amount of hours required to complete the game,” says the tweet. “Dying Light 2: Stay Human is designed for players with different gameplay styles and preferences to explore the world how they see fit.”

How long is Dying Light 2? According to the follow-up tweet, it will need 20 hours of a player's time to complete the main story. 80 hours would be needed to finish the main story and all of the side quests. Finally, a whopping 500 hours will be needed if players want to max out the game, exploring all choices and endings, checking every place on the map, every dialogue, and every collectible. That clarification should lay to rest the concerns on padding by fans.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be coming out on February 4, 2022, on PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
