The Philadelphia Eagles have already clinched a playoff spot, however, they're still fighting for a top seed in the NFC. Unfortunately, AJ Brown may have suffered a concerning knee injury during the Week 18 contest against the New York Giants.

Brown quickly grabbed his right knee after being taken down on a play, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The Eagles' superstar did limp to the blue medical tent. However, he eventually was taken to the locker room for further evaluation.

“AJ Brown down after a fumble. Reaching for his right knee. Hands on his head. Many Eagles players off the bench and on a knee.”

Soon after going back to the locker room, the Eagles listed AJ Brown as questionable to return, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Based on what's at stake, we should not expect to see Brown return to this game. The Eagles have already clinched a playoff spot and there's no real reason to bring him back even if he's cleared to return.

“Eagles WR AJ Brown, who went down holding his knee, is listed as questionable to return.”

Before falling to injury, AJ Brown recorded just one catch for nine yards. It's been a bit of a struggle for the Eagles lately, as the team has essentially fallen apart the last several weeks. Losing Brown for the playoffs could be detrimental, as he's easily one of the best players on the team.

With that said, keep an eye out for more updates regarding AJ Brown and the Eagles. Hopefully, it's not a serious situation and Brown can return for the postseason. If not, then Philadelphia's Super Bowl hopes might just shatter.
