DeSean Jackson suffered an abdominal injury in Week 2 and he hasn't been able to suit up for the Philadelphia Eagles since. As a result, Jackson brought in his long-time trainer to help him recover from his injury.

Over the past three weeks, the speedy wideout has had an ‘O' listed next to his name on the injury report due to his injury. Furthermore, Jackson is expected to miss Sunday's game versus the Minnesota Vikings.

However, Jackson has made some positive progress this week and has begun running for the first time since his injury. Due to that, he believes that his long-time trainer, Gary Cablayan, can help him get back to where he was at the beginning of the season.

“He’s feeling like he can move now,” Cablayan said Wednesday, “so it’s just trying to get back up to some faster speeds and getting his body ready. It’s just giving him that confidence with me here. When you have that much history, there’s a comfort in what that person brings to the table, that knows your body.”

Cablayan has been Jackson's speed trainer for nearly the past 25 years. In light of that, there aren't many more people who know the veteran receiver more than the personal trainer.

Back in Week 1, Jackson thrived in his return to the Eagles as he caught eight passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Since then, Philadelphia's offense has missed Jackson's ability to stretch the field through the air.

The Eagles may not have Jackson in Week 6 but it appears as if the big-play wideout is nearing a return in the coming weeks.
