Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson did not participate with the team in practice on Wednesday along with Nigel Bradham, Tim Jernigan, and Jason Peters, according to Dave Zangaro of NBCS Philly.

Jackson has been sidelined since suffering an abdomen injury during the Eagles' 24-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. That came a week after recording eight receptions, 154 receiving yards, and two touchdowns during their season opener against the Washington Redskins.

Earlier in the week, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson mentioned that the team will know more about Jackson's status on Wednesday. The only real certainty appears to be the fact that Jackson is going through the rehab process.

“DeSean, those guys, they're all working, doing their rehab in their protocols,” Pederson said, via Evan Macy of Philly Voice. “We will find out more on Wednesday. I would expect probably those guys early in the week won't practice.”

When considering how Jackson isn't practicing and Pederson was going to use Wednesday as an indicator for his status, that does not seem to bode well for his odds of playing on Sunday. The team's decision to not place him on injured reserve does suggest that they believe that there is a chance he could return by Week 10.

The Eagles are in need of Jackson's ability to spread the defense out as a deep threat. It just remains unclear when exactly they will be getting it back.
