The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to aggressively pursue a cornerback or two during free agency. With all the NFL teams down in Mobile Alabama for the Senior Bowl, there are a lot of rumors swirling about what certain teams might do during the draft and free agency.

Tony Pauline of the Pro Football Network, who has been locked in on Eagles rumors in the past, reports two of the biggest names the team could go after is Chris Harris and Byron Jones.

“Word here in Mobile is that the Philadelphia Eagles will go hard after a cornerback in free agency. Chris Harris and Byron Jones are two of the names being thrown around, but I expect the Eagles to turn over every rock in free agency in an attempt to fill the position.”

Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills are both set to be free agents this season and it's hard to imagine both guys are going to be back. Darby was re-signed to a one year deal and he really struggled. There should be an upgrade the team can find in free agency. Mills could be re-signed but that could depend on how much money he is asking for.

The good news for the Eagles heading into free agency is they have a lot of money to spend. According to spotrac.com, the Eagles are projected to have over $42 million in cap space.  Harris and Jones are both going to cost some money, but the Eagles have the money to spend and the team needs big improvements from the secondary.
