Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox has been a mainstay in Philly since coming into the NFL in 2012. However, with the Eagles struggling at 2-5 and Cox recently airing his grievances about the team's defensive performance, could he be on the move?

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports teams have been calling Philly about a Cox trade. However, it will take a big offer to get the Eagles to bite:

Teams have been contacting the Eagles about Cox, figuring they could take a run at him to see if they could get him for a mid- to late-round pick. On the heels of Cox airing grievances about the defense, teams have reacted. Cox is one of the core veterans GM Howie Roseman wants around, so he's unlikely to part with him for anything less than a high pick.

Philly drafted Cox with the 12th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a core part of the defense and then blossomed into a consistent Pro Bowler. He has made six consecutive Pro Bowls and was also named First-Team All-Pro in the 2018 season. And, of course, he helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl to cap off the 2017 campaign.

Cox signed a six-year, $102.6 million contract extension in 2016 and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent in 2023. The 30-year-old hasn't been as disruptive this season as in past years, so perhaps Philly will try to add a valuable draft pick to its treasure chest in exchange for the longtime defensive stalwart as part of a rebuild.

The Eagles are currently giving up 26.4 points per game, which is 24th in the NFL. With the offense just mediocre, the losses have been piling up.
