Dwight Howard is one of the best centers in NBA history. “Superman” holds career NBA averages of 16.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.9 blocks in the regular season with the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards.

Just like the other dominant centers in league history, Howard is a terrible free-throw shooter. The former No. 1 overall pick is a career 56.5 percent shooter from the charity stripe.

Because he's not a shooter, Howard has only attempted 68 triples in his NBA career. The future Hall of Famer has made just nine, giving him a career percentage of 13.2 beyond the arc.

With that said, let's take a look at all nine 3-pointers Dwight Howard has luckily made in his NBA career.

1. January 5, 2007

In a blowout win against the Charlotte Bobcats, Howard nailed a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer for the Magic, the first 3 of his career.

After the game, Howard claimed divine intervention helped him get his first 3.

“I think an angel came down and guided the ball through the net,” Dwight Howard said. “And I think I'm going to quit shooting them now and just remember that I'm 100 percent from behind the 3-point line this year.”

2. November 30, 2012

During his first stint with the Lakers in the 2012-13 season, Howard hit a 3-pointer against the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center.

Obviously, the crowd and Lakers bench went wild.
