Esports organization Dignitas has parted ways with their top laner Aaron “FakeGod” Lee, according to an official announcement.

“We will be making a change in our top lane for the upcoming LCS Summer Split. Thank you @FakeGod for being such a positive presence in the team. We wish you the best in the future,” read the announcement on Dignitas' Tweet.

Dignitas first joined the LCS in 2011, but failed to acquire a franchise slot in 2017. Since their rejoining in 2020, Dignitas has failed to perform well, and is generally placed in the lower half of the rankings. In the LCS Spring 2022 Split, the team concluded the group stage in 7th place with an 8 win 10 loss record. FakeGod has been a member of the organization since November 2020.

FakeGod is still a player on the rise. He started his professional League of Legends career relatively recently, when he joined 100 Thieves Academy late 2018. He soon got promoted to the 100 Thieves main roster for a split before spending another year in 100T Academy. This is when Dignitas, straight out of rejoining the LCS, picked him up.

As of the time of writing, Dignitas has not introduced a top laner to take FakeGod's place. There is a chance that the team's Academy top laner Yujie “Eclipse” Wu, but the org has yet to confirm anything yet.

The active Dignitas roster is:

  • Jungle: Kim “River” Dong-woo
  • Mid lane: Ersin “Blue” Gören
  • Bot lane: Toàn “Neo” Trần
  • Support: Vincent “Biofrost” Wang
