The Atlanta Falcons were busy ushering in some significant changes through free agency this offseason. It seems they may look to maintain their aggressive approach in the 2020 NFL Draft as well.

The Falcons currently own the No. 16 pick in this year's draft. General manager Thomas Dimitroff has indicated that teams have inquired about their interest in potentially trading up, via ESPN's Vaughn McClure:

“I have not had conversations with anyone, necessarily. I’ve had people call to say, ‘Hey, if you’re interested, we’re interested.’ That’s small right now. And it happens. And, yes, there was nothing at all concrete about calling up Dave Caldwell. I was using him as an example and Howie [Roseman] as an example because of two friends I have in this league.’’

The prospect of the Falcons trading up does not appear to be far-fetched. After all, they currently own just six picks in this year's draft with none of them coming in rounds five or six. This puts extra pressure on them to ensure that they get the most out of their early-round selections.

As a result, Atlanta could be looking to take advantage of those hoping to shore up some more draft capital by moving back. There are a few teams ahead of them that could have their eyes on taking one of the many talented receivers in this year's class.

Meanwhile, Dimitroff will have the luxury of being able to potentially land one of the top defensive prospects such as cornerback Kristian Fulton or defensive tackles Derrick Brown and Javon Kinlaw by moving up.
