Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn knows that his team’s historic collapse is one that’ll be talked about for forever. He’s not going to let the sting of that huge heartbreak from stopping him to move on and try to will his men from competing again.

Unfortunately for some Falcons fans, they do not share the same mindset as Quinn’s. To this day, Atlanta’s Super Bowl debacle is still not lost on them, as they continue to blame and ridicule Quinn for the loss. Quinn isn’t one to lose sleep over that, however, according to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure.

“It's more for the fans,” Quinn said of the constant chatter poking fun at the Falcons' failure. “Honestly, I don't get too far down that line in terms of those kinds of things. For me, I worry about our team. When we came back, I knew there were going to be questions, ‘OK, how much more work do we have to do to talk about last year?' and I got my answer pretty early in training camp when I saw us go for it in the biggest way. But past that on terms of the fans' side of things, I love our fans. So for them to get pissed about it, like, that's cool to me.”

As anyone could imagine, Quinn has heard an unthinkable amount of hurtful words thrown his way since February, and while it’s certainly hard to absorb all that at first, there’ll come a point in which he’s become so desensitized by it all that it doesn’t matter what other people think of him anymore. He’s apparently reached that point, and he’d rather use all the negatives as inspiration for his team to succeed moving forward.

Atlanta’s season begins this Sunday on the road against the Chicago Bears.
