After suffering a 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons might be without both running backs Kenjon Barner and Ito Smith as both have entered concussion protocol after Sundays game.

After Smith went down with an injury earlier in Sunday's game and was helped off the field, he was replaced by Barner who subsequently suffered a similar head injury. Now with both their second- and third-string running backs in question for their Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, the Falcons will have to rely on Devonta Freeman and rookie Qadree Ollison to carry the load. Ollison has been a healthy scratch though Week 3, but one would assume he would be activated with the lack of depth now on the roster.

Freeman has already played more games this season than his injury riddled 2018 but hasn't reminded anyone of the running back that was a Pro-Bowler in 2015 and 2016, averaging 3.7 yards per carry so far this season. Sunday's game against the Colts served as a good sign for next week as Freeman was able to run more efficiently. Atlanta will miss the change of pace that Smith and Barner bring.

Sunday's game will be a test for both Tennessee and Atlanta as neither wants to drop to 1-3 on the season, but with the talent on Atlanta's roster one would assume they would be more desperate for the win. They will have to channel the same kind of fire they played with in Week 2's Sunday night victory against Philadelphia, meaning that their stars have to show up and their defense has to create stops.
