The Atlanta Falcons signed QB Josh Rosen a week ago and he's already proven enough to make the 53-man roster.

Rosen played the second half of the Falcons' loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and showed well. He completed 9 of 18 passes while throwing the team's lone TD. Rosen spoke out following the game on how it was refreshing to get back out there and get a feel for playing again, via ESPN:

“I'm just working to get my confidence back,” Rosen said. “I'm the kind of football player, I just like making plays. I got to work on just getting more consistent and taking what defenses give me, but just naturally within my game, that's how I separate myself, I make plays with my arm.”

Before signing with the Falcons, the former UCLA star was with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 after being released by the Arizona Cardinals. However, he saw basically no playing time and spent time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad last season. Rosen was then released by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this month after a short stint with the team.

It's been a long and disappointing journey for the Falcons QB, who was seen as a very promising prospect when he was selected 10th overall in the 2018 Draft. But now, he has a legitimate opportunity to be Matt Ryan's backup in Atlanta and hopefully get some snaps in 2021.
