Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was unable to finish the contest during the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. Fortunately, it appears then Falcons may have dodged a bullet this time around.

Ryan was forced out of the game with a foot injury he suffered during the fourth quarter. However, head coach Dan Quinn said his quarterback is good to go in Week 6, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk:

Falcons coach Dan Quinn confirmed that Ryan went for X-rays when he spoke to the media on Monday afternoon. According to multiple reporters, the X-rays were on Ryan’s foot and Quinn said that Ryan is 100 percent ready for a Week Six game against the Buccaneers.

Needless to say, Falcons fans can breathe a sigh of relief. An injury to Ryan would have undoubtedly added to all the concerns surrounding Atlanta at the moment. Fortunately, Quinn does not seem to be too worried about it.

Things got off to a slow start for the Falcons offense in the season opener. However, Ryan managed to pick up the slack over the next three games. He registered 12 touchdowns and just one interception during that span. Unfortunately, he came crashing back down to earth in Week 5 against the Steelers. Matt Ryan completed 26 of 38 passes for 285 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game.

Regardless, the Falcons still have a lot to figure out going into Week 6. They currently sit at the bottom of the NFC South which makes this week's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a must-win game.
